Syndex - Fork Tube Length

Fork Tube Length

The length of fork tubes is heavily overlooked. It's an inconsistent measurement throughout brands, which leads to many SCS setups requiring headset spacers, and HIC/IHC Shims being too short or long. We want to state this measurement because it really is important that you know your parts will work together properly.

HIC/IHC fork tubes should be a little shorter than the length of your decks headtube + Headset Dustcap + HIC/IHC Shim.
Any higher and your compression won't tighten, too much shorter and your compression bolt won't reach the thread of the fork.

SCS fork tubes should be a little shorter than the length of your decks headtube + Headset Dustcsp + the bottom half of your SCS Clamp.
Any higher and your compression won't tighten, too much shorter and your clamp will not have enough fork to grab onto, and your compression bolt mightn't reach the thread of the fork.
