Syndex - Backsweep

Backsweep

The degree of backsweep refers to how far towards you the cross tube is bent. If a company does not state the degree of backsweep we will just state whether it does or doesn't have it, as ther isn't a way for us to measure the degree.

A bar with backsweep is made for comfort. Having the bars curved towards you allows your hands to sit in a more relaxed position. It is especially beneficial for wider bars so that your arms aren't so far out either side of you.
The negative to backsweep is that the bars will sit closer to your body, making them more likely to press into you when riding tight transition.

More than anything, backsweep is a preferential spec, and you more so need to try it to see if you like it.
